1. 27. June Revision: Integration

Integration & Applications was our focus last week, and what a big one it was! For Techniqes, we looked at 1) The four types: Formula, Standard Forms, Parts & Substitution 2) How to identify which to use 3) Two popular Trigo types: sine and cosine square, and factor formula (reverse) 4) Efficiently doing Integration by Parts 5) Clear and consistent process for Integration by Substitution Applying these ideas onto Application questions (Area & Volume), we looked at 1) Area under graph (Choice of axis, area between two graphs) 2) Area under Parametric graph (Setup as a Cartesian, and Replace) 3) Solid of Revolution (Region between two graphs) And these were quite a handful to manage, especially on the more tedious examples. Build up your stamina to deal with the trigonometric work, as well as evaluation requriements! Also do note the common A-level style 'trick' to do with sin(nπ), your setters are thinking it ;)Buy Now !
