1. 23. Differentiation 3

We looked at two Applications of Differentiation - Increasing/Decreasing Functions and Equations of Normals/Tangents. Increasing/Decreasing Functions was used mostly for the gradient graph y = f '(x) . Do note our streamlined process to drawing this graph: Prepare the features, and apply the Concept! For Normals and Tangents, we look at just a straight line graph equation. Which sounds simple! But the varieties involved are numerous, and the newer equation types means tedious working. In particular, note these skillsets: 1) Differentiate with the appropriate technique (Implicit? Parametric?) 2) Respond to the 'starting point' appropriately - at a given parameter? normal is parallel to y-axis? 3) Intersection between graphs with a Cartesian equation & a Parametric equation (sub parametric x & y into Cartesian)Buy Now !
