1.This week, we start off the lesson with solving CUBIC equations (ie, x to the power of 3 functions). We used the reverse of the factor theorem and the skills of comparing coefficients to fully factorise cubic equations before we solve it. The idea behind this type of question is simple but do remember to use your calculators to check your answers! We also spent some time looking at the small extension that tags along with this type of question. We learnt how to use the factorise cubic equation to solve other equations. It was fun and exciting as students try to see the “link” between the 2 functions. As per tradition, we ended off with a fun and exciting kahoot!
