1. 41. Grade A Questions Sequences & Series L1 [2021]
We started with some Sequences & Series Grade-A questions, firstly on Method of Differences. In these few questions, we managed to cover the question types that can be tricky, including: Indices coefficient Factor formula (multiple constants) Cross-Topic (complex numbers in our example) Regardless, once we spent some energy breaking down the questions and applying our regular skillsets, all of these were manageable, if somewhat tedious :) Also, we looked at a Riemann Sum approximation of area, which concluded with a non-conventional analysis (Monotone Convergence Theorem? Is that in the syllabus???). Be ready to deal with unfamiliar applications like this, as the 2017 and 2018 papers have shown. Intepretation is again key, identify what is required and the math is not the hardest part! Finally, we touched on a bit of AP GP, which gave us some warm-up for this week.
