1. 24. Hypothesis Testing L2 [2021]
We cleared Hypothesis Testing, our last statistics chapter before we move into Pure Math revision. Once we understood the idea behind it, Hypothesis Testing became a very process-based chapter - keep practising the standard process, and this chapter can prove to be one of the most consistent to score in. Of course, be mindful of the little nuances in the chapter: is the given variance from the sample, or population? What test is to be conducted, behind the obtuse phrasing some setters use? Do we need to apply Central Limit Theorem? Additionally, we covered questions where we solved for unknowns, given the result of the test. Let's note that visualising the problem, using a sketch, will clear any doubt regarding how to use the test statistic. Again, this can take a bit to get used to, but eventually it is a very consistent question type that you can score from!
